"I did an extensive search and review of available cases for the LG Optimus S/U/V phone before ordering the Otterbox. This case provides the most protection of any case in my opinion. This is partly due to the silicon inner layer and ABS plastic outer layer on the sides and back. In areas where there is no ABS, the silicon is thicker to make up the difference. The close tolerances of the case package would also help dissipate any shock from a drop without the case separating. Other cases where it is just another plastic shell on top of the phone, cannot sustain larger impact forces like this case (due to the multiple layers of silicon and plastic). I am very satisfied with this product. It fit my phone, an LG Optimus S perfectly. I am rather hard on my devices, and have dropped/roughly handled my phone several times since having the Otterbox and it works great. The plastic and rubber combo works perfectly.
